System before schedule

The foundation and route determine the mitigation plan

A basement, slab-on-grade section, crawlspace, addition, sump condition, or divided foundation can change the number and location of suction points and the route available for piping. Fan position, discharge location, weather exposure, service access, noise, electrical supply, condensate behavior, visible labels, and the manometer all belong in the design discussion. The parties should agree who provides access, who authorizes the work, when closed-building conditions begin, which test method is used, and how the result is delivered. The system record should identify the installed components, routing, fan and electrical information, operating indicator, labels, warranty or maintenance terms, and any areas or conditions outside the scope. Post-mitigation testing evaluates the completed system under the applicable test conditions; neither the contractor nor the website should promise a particular closing outcome or replace the advice of inspectors, agents, attorneys, lenders, or other transaction professionals.
